ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE

Check-in is possible from 4 p.m. Early check-in before 4 p.m. is only possible by prior arrangement and costs €10 per hour. The address is Zweribachweg 9 in 79263 Simonswald. Some sat navs get off at the hikers' car park at Zweribach, then you have to keep right on the forest path and continue about 400 meters further in the direction of Haldenhof (it says this on an old wooden sign at the hikers' car park).

We will send you the code for the key safe in a separate message one day before your arrival. Personal check-in is usually not possible.

Check-out should be by 10am. Late check-out after 10am is only possible by prior arrangement and is subject to a charge of €10 per hour.

We ask you to respect this time. This is the only way we can prepare the house for the arrival of the next guests. We ask you to:

strip the beds and put used towels in a pile on the floor. turn off all the lights.
Put dirty dishes in the dishwasher and let it run.
to dispose of the garbage at the garbage disposal site. Please separate as described in the information.
to leave the apartment swept clean.
to check whether the tourist tax is on the table.
put the key back in the safe and lock the door beforehand.

EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES

Please stock up on food, the nearest bakery and a Rewe are about 20 minutes away by car. They are located in Simonswald.

We have raclette, a Weber wood grill and a fondue set (2x meat) in the house. There is a toaster, Nespresso and filter coffee machine, freezer and mixer as well as baking trays in the house. We provide an initial supply of tabs for the Nespresso capsule machine. We have provided tabs and salt for the dishwasher. We also have tea towels, toilet paper, soap, dishcloths and dishwashing liquid.

BATHTUB

The bathtub is freestanding. Please do not sit on the edge. There is a risk of tipping over.

PROJECTOR AND SCREEN

A projector and a screen are available for you. Please ensure that the small legs of the screen are folded out for stability before opening. Operating instructions for the projector and screen are included.

BEDDING AND TOWELS

One set of bed linen and one set of towels (shower towel and guest towel per person) are provided on arrival. The beds are not made up. If you require additional towels and bed linen, you can obtain these for an extra charge of €5 per towel set and €5 per bed linen set. You must bring your own towels and sauna bathrobes.

ELECTRIC MOBILITY

Refueling electric cars using household electricity is not permitted. On request, you can refuel your car at our electric charging station for a fee.

DISHWASHER AND DISHWASHER

If something is missing, please let us know. If something breaks, please let us know as well. We will discuss compensation. Please wash wine and champagne glasses by hand. Dish towels, dishwashing tablets, rinse aid and dishwasher salt are under the sink.

WOOD

You will find wood at the back of the Haldenhof at the bottom of the turning plate. You are welcome to use this for a fee of 20-30€ (depending on consumption).

On the side of the refrigerator there is a note with the Wi-Fi access.

TILED STOVE

When you light the tiled stove, the lever under the glass insert must be facing outwards. Please do not use a barbecue lighter to light the stove. The best way to light the stove is with waxed wood wool. Please note that the glass and handle will get hot. ALWAYS use gloves when opening the stove when it is in full operation and keep an eye on your children.

GARBAGE

Please do not throw food scraps into the garden or forest. This attracts animals. You will find bin liners under the sink. The rubbish bins are located behind the Haldenhof, in the area of the turning plate behind a wooden fence.
The rubbish is separated into four categories.

1. Gray bin (=residual waste)
Please put waste for the grey bin in the front, large compartment of the bin under the sink. The grey bin is for residual waste, i.e. all kitchen waste, dishes, diapers, etc.
2. Yellow bag (=packaging waste)
Waste for the yellow bag goes in the large white garbage bin to the right of the sink. The yellow bag contains cans, bottle and jar caps (crown caps and lids), pots of yoghurt, margarine, quark, etc., foil, carrier bags and pouches, packaging from chocolates or biscuits, plastic bottles from dishwashing liquid, laundry detergent and personal care products, milk and drinks cartons, foam from fruit and vegetable trays, vacuum packaging, and polystyrene packaging materials.
3. Blue bin (paper)
Please place paper waste (magazines, cardboard boxes, newspapers, etc.) in the rear compartments of the trash can under the sink.
4th glass
Please collect your glass bottles and take them with you to the next glass container. The next glass container is in Wildgutach right at the entrance to the town.

FURNITURE

We hope you feel comfortable. We have put a lot of effort into the furnishings and would like to ask you to treat the furnishings with care. Any damage that occurs during your stay must be reported.

PARKING SPACES

Use of the parking spaces is at your own risk. Please park in such a way that the forest path can be accessed unhindered even by larger vehicles. There are 2 parking spaces available free of charge for the Haldenmühle and the Haldenhof. If there are more vehicles, they can be parked free of charge in the hikers' parking lot within walking distance.

CLEANING TOOLS

Dishwashing liquid, washing machine tabs and dishcloths are located under the sink. We provide cleaning buckets, vacuum cleaners, other cleaning products and toilet paper in a visible location.

SMOKE

Smoking is not permitted in the house. If this rule is not observed, we will charge a special cleaning fee of 250 euros. An ashtray is located outside.

SAUNA

The sauna needs a warm-up time of around one hour. To switch it on, press the top button for 3 seconds and the sauna will heat up. To switch it off, press the same button again for 3 seconds. There are four programs available, which can be selected using the arrows. For programs with humidity, water must be poured into the oven. The operating instructions are in the rolling shelf. PLEASE PUT A TOWEL ON THE SAUNA BENCHES WHEN USING THE SAUNA AND MAKE SURE THAT THE SAUNA BUCKET IS NOT ON THE OVEN.

TOILETS

Please do not throw any objects into the toilets. Please throw sanitary towels or tampons into the hygiene bags provided in the trash cans.

WASH

There is a washing machine in the Haldenhof and it can be used for a fee of €5 per machine. The code for the key safe is available on request.
